Dear All,
We would like to say a very big thank you to you all for the care and kindness you gave to mom. You all worked so hard to make her comfortable and for that we are so grateful. Thank you all for making her last months as happy, comfortable and peaceful as they could have been.
We really believe that during her time with you she came to love you all.
Mom’s favourite things were a cup of tea and a biscuit (and chocolate!) So please, when you take a break today, enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and biscuit and think of her. She loved flowers too, especially pink ones- We hope you enjoy these too! X

Dear Atholl House Staff,
Thank you all so much for all the care, devotion and medical expertise that you showed our Mum in the few months that she lived with you.
Mum was very upset and frightened about having to leave her home and independence, but, right from the very first night when I spoke to Nurse Jane, I realised that you would do everything in your power to help Mum and us with this transition. Atholl House became her new home.
We knew Mum was very poorly and near end of life when she moved into Atholl House, and we thank you for helping us keep her safe and as happy as possible during her final few months, and for all your kindness and professionalism to us – her family and friends when we visited her.

Special thanks to Jane and the staff on Clover (Vicky, Claire, Lorraine, Nicky, Maria, Karen, the lovely cleaning girls to name but a few and apologies for names missed). Also many thanks to the Agency girls like Jenny on Buttercup and all of the staff on that ward. The care and support you provided not only to mom but also to the family was wonderful right down to the lovely ladies on Reception. I have also passed on our gratitude and thanks regarding your Home to the Head of Service for Social Care at City of W-ton Council.

Many thanks for the care and kindness you have given my Husband during his stay at Atholl House. You have always been kind and thoughtful, and the Nurses Flo, Nancy, Josh and Jane and others I don’t know the names of have been very caring and ensuring my Husband didn’t suffer more than he needed. The carers have been good, always keeping him clean. Esther and Nicky have been particularly good. Sheila and Sarah on reception have always been welcoming and concerned. Last but not least, David and the kitchen staff have always let me have lollies and ice cream at any time as well as giving me lunch so that I could spend more time with him.

Dear Sheila,
Please find enclosed a cheque for £100 for donations received at my Mom’s funeral. It would be lovely if this money could be used for an event for one of the residents. Mom was a crafter, turning her hand to painting, knitting crochet, scrapbooking to none but a few. One of my last memories of Mom was a photo on your notice board of her coloring a crown for the Queen’s Jubilee. I was delighted to hear that you received a response from the Palace regarding this project. Creativity makes such a difference to our lives and the activities at Atholl House are a lovely addition to the lives of the residence. Thank you for your kindness to my Mom during her short stay with you.
